About Paul
Lets go back in time
As a teenager I had a small “cube” TV in my bedroom – a Christmas gift from my grandparents. It was a great little TV set but only had one speaker which just didn’t quite hit the spot when I was watching films, this was before surround sound was invented. So, I set out on a challenge to connect my hi-fi with impressive sound system to the TV. BINGO! Putting on a John Woo film – Broken Arrow, I sat back and thought now I’m living!
I Now I’m often found working with a cuppa tea and some Rock n Roll music playing

I love a bit of tech
We all love time playing with the tech toys and gadgets, here are some of my favourites

Retro Gaming
I have a number of old consoles from Mega Drive, Playstation, PSP, Wii and others

Lego-tastic
I’ve always enjoyed Lego, so when they started to bring out retro sets like this, it hooked me in

W2K SVR with SP2
The headline sums this aging CD up well.. Windows Server 2000 with Service Pack 2, all good techs used to have a massive CD wallet with a shed load of disc
How it all started
Here is a small glimpse into some of the tech and the roles I’ve had.

Web Design Rocked
I started my career off working in a web design company back in 1999, when Flash, Shockwave and Dreamweaver were king, I got to see the team of web designers work on cool projects and I even managed to get a trip to Austria and saw rock superstar – Tommy Lee when he was in Methods of Mayhem.

Blackberry unleashed
I was the messaging administrator for an engineering firm when I was heard about the world of Blackberry and BES – Blackberry Enterprise servers. I was the lead for getting it setup, tested and educating the staff on how to use them. I was also the person to keep an eye on which devices we should use and worked with the engineers to make sure the devices met the business need

It’s not rocket science
I was fortunate enough to be asked to join a leading European space company to help lead the UK IT across two sites, joining up with a larger team that spanned Europe. Helping to ensure the teams had the hardware and software to deliver on critical space programs for UK government and ESA – European Space Agency. Much of what I learned from here is used in my work with SME IT departments today
Life is better when there is sound..
I’m often asked what type of Rock N Roll music do I listen too.
It’s quite varied and depends on how I’m feeling, or what I’m working on, but the playlist here gives a good sample to the awesome tunes, riffs, drums and vocals that I often enjoy tapping along too.
